Waste Heat Capture/Conversion

Back to Manufacturing

A huge amount of the input energy into the industrial sector is lost as waste heat, with more than 80% of being low-temperature waste heat below 150 degrees Celsius. Therefore, new approaches to cost effectively capturing or converting low-temperature- waste heat present an enormous opportunity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the industrial sector. Significant technology opportunities in this area include the development of new technologies for cost effectively converting low temperature waste heat into electricity and other valuable products.
