Low-GHG Paper Production

Back to Manufacturing

The pulp and paper industry is a significant contributor to global industrial greenhouse gas emissions, with more than half of the energy it consumes used for drying paper after it is laid. Significant opportunities exist to reduce the greenhouse gas footprint of paper production via the development of dramatically more efficient drying technologies, advanced combined heat and power systems, and new technologies for re-capturing energy from plant waste products.
